Specialized Remote Occupational Therapy &
Speech-Language Pathology for Schools & Families
TAG — The Academic Gym is a specialized intervention partner providing teletherapy-based Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services designed for the unique learning profiles of students with ADHD, dyslexia, and related learning differences. Our movement-anchored, executive-function-driven approach goes beyond compliance — we build the neurological and cognitive foundations students need to succeed in the classroom, in reading, and in life. TAG brings specialized expertise directly to districts and homes, remotely and efficiently.
TAG Teletherapy is designed for students who need more than standard intervention — students whose learning profiles require specialized, evidence-aligned, and highly individualized support.

Students we serve
Students with ADHD Areas of Support: Executive function, attention regulation, sensory processing, and self-monitoring challenges that impact daily academic performance.
Students with Dyslexia & Reading Disabilities Areas of Support: Phonological processing deficits, decoding difficulties, and the motor/language foundations underlying fluent reading.
Students with Executive Function Deficits Areas of Support: Planning, working memory, cognitive flexibility, and task initiation barriers across all academic domains.
MTSS Tier 2 Students Areas of Support: Small-group, data-driven interventions for students not responding to core instruction.
MTSS Tier 3 Students Areas of Support: Highly individualized, intensive intervention for students with persistent, complex, or co-occurring learning needs.
TAG serves students at every tier of the MTSS framework From supplemental Tier 2 small-group support to intensive Tier 3 individualized intervention and IEP-mandated related services. One partner. Every level of need.
Students with IEPs & 504 Plans Areas of Support: Direct therapy services aligned to individual goals, fully documented for compliance and progress monitoring.
Occupational Teletherapy Services
Sensory Processing & Regulation Assessment and intervention targeting sensory integration challenges that interfere with attention, learning readiness, and classroom participation. Includes personalized sensory diets and educator consultation.
Fine Motor & Handwriting Evaluation and remediation of fine motor delays, graphomotor difficulties, and written expression challenges — including handwriting fluency and keyboarding skills.
Executive Function Coaching Evidence-based strategies targeting planning, task initiation, working memory, cognitive flexibility, and self-monitoring — delivered through structured, progressively complex skill-building.
Self-Regulation & Emotional Regulation Co-regulation frameworks and student self-advocacy tools that improve behavioral readiness and classroom sustainability.
Movement-Based Learning Integration TAG's signature approach embeds purposeful movement into intervention — leveraging proprioceptive and vestibular input to enhance attention, memory consolidation, and cognitive readiness for literacy and learning tasks.
Speech Language Pathology (SLP)
Language & Literacy Intervention Structured literacy intervention targeting phonological awareness, phonics, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension — grounded in the science of reading.
Phonological Processing Targeted assessment and intervention for phonological awareness deficits underlying dyslexia — including rhyming, segmentation, blending, and phoneme manipulation.
Oral Language & Academic Language Development Instruction in the academic language structures required for grade-level reading comprehension, writing, and classroom discourse.
Social Communication & Pragmatic Language Support for students who struggle with the communicative demands of peer interaction, classroom participation, and following multi-step directions.
Expressive & Receptive Language Disorders Individualized intervention targeting processing speed, auditory comprehension, syntax, and verbal expression.
Movement-Based Learning Integration TAG integrates purposeful, structured movement to prime the speech‑language system for learning. By activating proprioceptive and vestibular pathways, the approach supports improved attentional control, working‑memory stability, and cognitive readiness—creating optimal conditions for phonological processing, language formulation, and literacy acquisition.
What sets TAG apart?

TAG is not a staffing agency. We are a specialized clinical partner with a proprietary methodology and a deep commitment to learning science.
The VITAAL-K ™Framework
TAG's proprietary VITAAL-K intervention program integrates movement, executive function scaffolding, and structured literacy in a single, unified approach — uniquely suited for students with ADHD and dyslexia whose learning profiles span both OT and SLP domains. No other teletherapy provider offers this level of cross-domain integration.
Movement as Medicine for Learning
Our interventions are grounded in neuroscience: purposeful movement activates the brain's arousal and attention systems, primes working memory, and consolidates new learning. We don't just teach — we prepare the nervous system to learn.
Cross-Disciplinary OT + SLP Integration
Our OT and SLP clinicians work in concert, not in silos. Students with co-occurring learning profiles receive coordinated care that addresses the full spectrum of their needs — from sensory regulation to phonological processing. Collaboration is built into our clinical model, not added as an afterthought.
MTSS-Aligned Service Delivery
TAG's tiered service model maps directly onto MTSS frameworks. We provide data collection, progress monitoring, and intervention documentation that supports your team's data-based decision-making at every tier — so TAG integrates seamlessly into your existing infrastructure.
Licensed, Specialized Clinicians
Every TAG clinician is licensed, credentialed, and experienced specifically in pediatric school-based practice. Many hold advanced training in structured literacy, sensory integration, and executive function intervention. You will never receive a generalist when a specialist is what your students need.
Remote Efficiency — No Compromise on Quality
Teletherapy with TAG means no transportation barriers, no scheduling conflicts, and no coverage gaps — while maintaining the engagement, fidelity, and clinical quality of in-person services. Our clinicians are trained specifically in delivering high-impact remote sessions for school-age learners.

Getting Started
TAG is designed to integrate smoothly into your district's existing systems — with minimal administrative overhead and maximum clinical impact from day one.
Step 1 — Initial Consultation
A no-cost conversation with a TAG clinician to review your district's needs, current MTSS structure, and student population priorities. We listen before we recommend.

Step 2 — Needs Assessment & Caseload Review
TAG works with your special education team to identify students who would benefit from teletherapy services and map them to appropriate service tiers — Tier 2 small group, Tier 3 intensive, or IEP-mandated related services.

Step 3 — Service Agreement & Scheduling
We establish a service delivery schedule that works within your building's existing structure — IEP minutes, MTSS blocks, and related service sessions — without disrupting the instructional day.
Step 4 — Ongoing Collaboration
TAG clinicians participate in IEP meetings, MTSS problem-solving team meetings, and parent consultations as needed. We are an active partner in your team — not a vendor operating in isolation.
Step 5 — Data Review & Renewal
Quarterly progress summaries and an annual partnership review ensure services remain effective, responsive, and district-aligned. We adjust based on data — always.
