How T.A.G. Trains the Reading Brain

Fun and Learning at T.A.G.

T.A.G. (The Academic Gym) blends phonics, fitness, and fun to help all kids—especially those with ADHD and reading deficits.

T.A.G. tags motion to memory. Kids analyze and memorize while they exercise. Active learning is scientifically proven to promote long term memory and rapid recall.

We combine athletic drills with academic skills to help kids exercise their bodies and minds at the same time.  T.A.G. uses rhythmic athletic skills to help kids chant, spell, and remember rhythmic syllable sounds for reading skills.  T.A.G. teaches kids to hear and see syllable sounds as spelling sequences in spoken and printed words. Rhyming, remembering, and recognizing syllable sounds and spellings helps kids read rapidly and accurately. In effect, T.A.G. uses the rhythmic repetition of athletic skills to teach rapid word recognition for reading skills.

T.A.G. puts the thrills into reading skills to make kids happy, focused, and smart. T.A.G. helps kids overcome cognitive challenges such as ADHD and phonological awareness deficits that lead to reading difficulties.

T.A.G. is the brainchild of Mr. Brian Vieira M.A., founder of ScholarSkills Learning Center, and a recognized leader in multi-sensory literacy education.
