VITAAL-K Reading Coaching at The Academic Gym

Here's how movement creates mastery. In the academic gym we use VITAAL-K reading coaching (Visual, Interactive, Auditory, Adaptive, Linguistic-Kinesthetic) integrated with analytical spelling for reading. Students use a variety of exciting cognitive athletic activities to  embed the spellings and sounds into their heads. Then, they try to use those sounds and spellings to decode words they've never seen.  Let's see how well this neurodiverse learner can decode unknown words after using basketballs, boxing, and beach balls to TAG his memory with long vowel /A/ spellings.
